In Orthodox Christianity, indiviuals become participants of the Christian faith and life through Baptism and Chrismation. Following Christ's example (Matthew 3:13) and commandment (Matthew 28:19), Orthodox Christians are illumined through Baptism and annointed with the Holy Spirit through Chrismation as they become soldiers for Christ's sake (2 Timothy 2:3). They are "clothed" with Christ, as St. Paul says in Galations 3:27, and they are ready to walk in the footsteps of our Lord. May God guide those who choose to become Christians and follow Christ by imitating His Holy Baptism. May God grant us to continue to imitate Him in all things!
